The Barn was opened in May 2000 and provides high quality hostel accommodation with excellent self-catering and lounge facilities. Camping and Caravan facilities are also available. It is situated centrally in the village of Pierowall, Westray in the Orkney Isles and is within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance of shops, post office and other local amenities.
The Barn is open all year round, has disabled facilities and the service includes duvet, sheets, towels, heating, showers, tea, coffee and all cooking facilities
On the upper floor there is one bedroom (the family room) and a very large lounge. The lounge window looks out over Pierowall Bay. In midsummer when the sun hardly sets, the reflection on the sea is breathtaking.
